Blonde Hair

Blonde hair is still a firm favourite for 2015 (of course). Get in on the hottest shades with our edit of the top celebrity blondes. From dark or light blonde to all-out platinum, get hair colour ideas here…

Ombre uplights have been a strong hair trend, which doesn't look like it's going anywhere, with Jessica Alba and Nicole Richie both modeling warmer, honey blonde tones. Perfect for darker shades, ombre lights add depth and texture, while giving the overall result of dark caramel blonde hair – without dark root re-growth issues.

For natural blondes, take notes from models Georgia May Jagger, Jessica Hart and Cara Delevingne and opt for softer highlights woven in among darker, more natural tones for a dirty blonde bed head look. Wear these loose, long and with plenty of conditioning treatment to ensure the blonde hair colour stays fresh and glossy.

If it’s notice-me hair colour you’re after, then platinum blonde hair colour is a cool option. Make like Carey Mulligan with her champagne-hued tresses and opt for block colour, or for more highlighted locks, work it a la Jennifer Lawrence with her textured blonde crop.

From caramel blonde hair through to ultra ash shades, get blonde hair ideas from these celebs – pick your favourite shade, print out and take to the hairdresser.

Fringes

Fringes have been the easy way to update your look for decades. When you don't fancy a full-on chop, but you're bored of your hair, whether it's short or long, a new fringe is the answer.

But, think about which style will suit you as growing out a fringe is no mean feat. Do you fancy a chunky block fringe like Rihanna and Emma Stone, or is a shorter Lily Collins-style more you? Or, how about a side fringe a la Kerry Washington, or, our personal favourite right now, the parted-in-the-middle fringe worn by the likes of Alexa Chung and Daisy Lowe?

There's so many different fringe options for 2014 that we've created the InStyle Edit, a round-up of all the amazing A-list fringes that have caught our eye recently, to make choosing one you love that bit easier.

Take a look at our edit of the best celebrity fringes for instant inspiration, and then start weighing up which gorgeous style will suit your face shape most. Every girl needs a new hairstyle for the new season, right?

Bob Hairstyles: This Season's Hottest Celeb Cut

Bob hairstyles are a big look this season, with short hair being favoured by fashion's finest. Where long bed heads and swept-over curls used to be the style of choice, the low-maintenance and casual benefits of bobs are encouraging more and more stars to try out the trend.

While it's understandable to be wary of a super-short pixie crop, bobs are flattering and versatile - and the possibilities are endless. Go for a layered long bob hairstyle like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, or, for more of an edgy look, try a textured short bob hairstyle like Emma Stone.

Even when it's cut, the styles aren't limited. You can go sleek and neat a la Rose Byrne and Marion Cotillard (who works a chic bob hairstyle with a fringe), choppy like Sienna Miller's, or even experiment with retro-look victory curls like January Jones.

Our favourite length was the long bob, as seen on the the likes of Alexa Chung and most recently convert Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, but Sienna's new short cut has got us all considering a drastic chop.

Check out all these different short hair ideas and let the immaculately-styled stars show you how fabulous bob hairstyles can be...

amfAR Gala: The 10 Stand-Out Looks...

The amfAR Gala in New York played host to some of the industry's biggest names, including actresses, models and fashionistas.

However it was Kendall Jenner who stole the show, glowing in a bold red Romona Keveza dress, alongside Erin Wasson who broke the mold in an edgy white suit.

Short Hairstyles

Short hairstyles are having a moment. Gone are the times when long hair ruled the red carpet, now it's about short hair cuts on your favourite A-list women. We're talking chic bobs (à la Rose Byrne), cool crops (see Audrey Tautou), the bold quiff (modelled by Anne Hathaway) and the mid-length 'do (best worn by the likes of Alexa Chung).

Not only is a new season the perfect time to reinvent your hair, your trip to the hairdressers just got even easier with our round-up of the best short styles on the beauty block. Short hairstyles, for women, can be a bit daunting but they've got the A-list stamp of approval in a big way.

As proved by some of the coolest women in Hollywood, ditching longer locks and going for that short haircut is a classy and undeniably stylish way to update your look. It's also a great excuse to get rid of any split ends you've been harbouring. Don't be put off by the prospect of growing it out. As Jennifer Lawrence shows, each length keeps getting better and better.

If you're worried it'll limit your hairstyles, just look to the ever-changing head of Rita Ora for hairstyles for short hair inspo.

Trust us, beautiful hair doesn't have to mean tresses down to your knees. Still not convinced? Check out InStyle's edit of the best celebrity short hairstyles, haircuts and hair ideas and let us change your mind...

Not just for special occasions, red lipstick has filtered down into our day-to-day. Whether you want to dress up a casual look at the weekend, or make that shift from day to night, a slick of red lipstick change be a real game-changer.

Swimwear: The InStyle Round-Up

Swimwear can be a nightmare to find. Like jeans, whenever you realise you need it, it's nigh on impossible to find a bikini or one-piece which you like and/or that fits.

To get you excited for the sunnier climes (that are sure to be coming sometime soon, even if it means jetting off on holiday), we've rounded up the best the high street and designers have to offer.

For 2015, it's the laidback, 70s styles we're coveting. Our swimwear crush Kiini has been joined by She Made Me and Lisa Maree. Though not flashy, they're beautiful and intricately detailing, lending themselves to the pool, beach or your summer wardrobe.

Not on for the crochet love-in and looking for something a little more classic? Go-to brands like Heidi Klein, Orlebar Brown and Babajaan's SS15 offerings are full of timeless, figure-flattering styles - with some new stand-out prints.

We're loving simple, sporty and sexy swimwear this season, and that's exactly what you get from Agent Provocateur and Mikoh.

Everyone's Wearing: The White Trend

The white trend... It's one of the trickiest to get right. Usually 'how to wear white' is the big question every time the sun comes out, but right now, it's freezing - and it's in, making it trickier than ever.

Proving it's not just a summer look, Alexa Chung, Kendall Jenner and Anne Hathaway have been trialling head-to-toe outfits on and off the red carpet, and we can't get enough of the fresh, sleek aesthetic.

But how do we wear it? First off, this season's white isn't one you need to fake tan for. Of course it's always going to enhance a post-holiday glow but not been away yet? No problem. Instead of washing out a pale complexion, the look is one of low-key elegance.

Seen at New York Fashion Week, it's about layering white over white. Want a sporty, laidback vibe? Look to DKNY SS15 for inspo. For anything more polished, the tailored looks at Victoria Beckham and Tibi, and the pretty pairings at Carolina Herrera are your go-to.

It's a surprisingly wearable trend, for day and night. If you're working it into your office wardrobe, try swapping in a white midi skirt or tailored trousers in the place of black. We're loving culottes, in spite of the weather, and teamed with a crisp white shirt and pumps, they make the perfect work white out.

Don't be scared to do top-to-toe white, and match your accessories. Just beware of that after work glass of red.

For the evening, as the A-list fash pack have been showing nothing makes a more sophisticated style statement than a suit. Saint Laurent is the favourite, but if its a bit out of your budget – we hear 'ya – the high street has a seriously sleek selection of separates.

See which stars' white looks we've been eyeing up, and our pick of the pieces we want in our wardrobes...

Plaits

Plaits are a real red carpet favourite right now. Whatever your face shape and style, there will be one to suit you in our round-up of the A-list best.

Maybe your fringe is playing up, you need to tackle a festival or holiday-related bad hair day, or you just want to keep your hair out of your face? Rock a classic boho-look halo braid, a la Poppy Delevingne and Florence Welch, for a low-maintenence look or for something a little more special, try Anna Friel's double fishtail halo plaits.

Or is your plaited look for the evening? French plaits have been hot property on the red carpet and at A-list parties, with Jessica Stam and Cara D rocking them with cocktail dresses. Fishtail plaits, too, are a favourite of the most glamorous stars, with Olivia Palermo regularly working them into her looks.

The award for the most impressive plaited hairstyle goes to Diane Kruger for her intricate 'do at the Oscars.

Check it out, and all the hottest celebrity plait ideas here...

Valentine's Gifts For Him

Valentine's gifts for him - we just don't always get them right, do we? He might have a box full of heart-felt cards, teddies and romantic gestures from previous years, but for 2015 we want to catch him off guard with something seriously cool.

Consider those new must-have headphones, Marvel's coffee table book or an on-point Fujifilm Instax camera. That's right, we know exactly how to hit him where it hurts in the amazing present-buying department...

Best Cleansers

Finding the best cleanser to suit your skin type can be a challenge. Depending on your skin type, either they over-clean, leaving your skin dry or don't leave it feeling properly dirt-free.

We've rounded up the best, for dry, combination and normal skin, and for all your complexion bothers, so you can find the one to suit you.

We all know money doesn't always by quality so we've picked the formulas, from Cetaphil's cleanser to Eve Lom's cleanser, that are actual beauty insider favourites, regardless of their price. There's all different formulas too, from gels to hot cloth cleansers that'll look after your skin all year round, keeping it glowing and soft - even in the harshest of weathers.

From bargain-friendly Simple and No7 face washes to cleansing classics from SkinCeuticals, Liz Earle and Kiehl's, here's our pick of the 10 best...

Best Tinted Moisturisers

Tinted moisturisers are a make-up bag classic. Is looking after your skin a priority, while wanting a natural (but flawless) complexion? Then this is what you've been looking for.

Perfect for hot weather, long days, casual looks or just as a brightening tool, they hydrate the skin and protect it from environmental damage while offering sheer and (most importantly) a natural-looking coverage.

Often thought of as only a summer beauty buy, the best tinted moisturisers can be just what you need in the winter months, when the cold is taking its toll on your skin and foundation is just not doing what you want it to. Instead of loading up on serums, lotions, potions and heavy make-up, a light tinted moisturiser can be the answer - and it'll even out that bothersome wintery redness, too.

And it's not just practical, fresh, clean skin was a catwalk favourite at the AW14 shows, with the models at Stella McCartney, Giambattista Valli and Dolce & Gabbana all boasted glowing and gorgeous, barely-there make-up. It's looking big for SS15, too, with Marc Jacobs sending bare-faced models down the runway.

Find one which suits your needs and budget - from high street favourite The Body Shop to investment beauty brand Creme De La Mer - in our pick of the best tinted moisturisers...
